Social Worker/Behaviour Support Practitioner

Leanne is a Social Worker and registered Behaviour Support Practitioner with a Bachelor of Behavioural Science, a Masters Degree in Social Work and a Diploma in Counselling.

Leanne Specialises in working with adults with mental health difficulties and those with an intellectual disability whose behaviour impacts on their quality of life. She is particularly experienced in working with clients in Supported Disability Accommodation (SDA), fostering a consistent team approach to achieve real and lasting change. Leanne also has specific skills in working with individuals supported by mainstream services such as hospitals, family violence and forensic services and developing evidence-based and person-centred Behaviour Support Plans that assist the individual and their support team to navigate these complex interactions. Leanne also has a keen interest in reducing and eliminating the use of Restrictive Practices and is a passionate advocate for finding alternatives to restraint and increased liberties for all. She is a warm, gentle and thoughtful practitioner who is dedicated to supporting clients overcome barriers and reach their goals.
