Social Worker/Behaviour Support Practitioner

Jennie is a Social Worker and registered Behaviour Support Practitioner with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours and a Masters of Social Science (Social Work) which she gained in the UK.

Jennie specialises in working with adults with multiple and complex needs, including individuals with mental health concerns and intellectual disability. Jennie has worked in a variety of settings with clients whose behaviour impacts on their quality of life and ability to participate fully in the community. This includes work in the community and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) settings with individuals, staff teams and families. She has worked as a Care Manager for a Learning Disabilities Team in the UK where she gained an in-depth knowledge in understanding the needs of people with a disability and how to effectively reduce behaviours of concern while improving wellbeing. Jennie also brings a wealth of experience in working with clients whose situation is complicated by factors such as homelessness, risk of homelessness and/or alcohol and drug use. She is an experienced and dedicated practitioner who is passionate about supporting the most vulnerable people in the community overcome disadvantage and reach their goals.
